The Rockford Area Affordable Housing Coalition provides an opportunity for members to learn about affordable housing issues and programs. The Coalition hosts monthly meetings at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. The guest speakers at these meetings address a wide range of issues that pertain to the affordable housing industry.

In addition to the membership meetings and guest speakers, the Coalition also provides Homebuyer Education services to the region. As the area's only HUD certified housing counseling agency that is providing educational services, the Coalition strives to meet our members' needs. We will often work with our members' customers to meet the needs of their demanding schedules. We also work with closely with our members to ensure that their customers are fully prepared to purchase a home. This may involve credit counseling for customers who are not yet credit-ready, with the goal of assisting them in reaching their dream of owning a home.
